Don't know about the 883 but I have rode the sportster 1200 sport and if the 883 is anything like it I would keep the Savage. The 1200 rode nice and had good power but was very top heavy and had a very bad stock riding position. Kinda had my feet up under me instead of out in front. I set on it more like a 70s Kawa. KZ. The Savage didn't have anywhere near the power and I didn't expect it to but seeing that I do very little if any freeway riding I don't need it. I really thought a bike that cost that much ($11,000.00 out the door)could at least let a person ride it in comfort. As far as vibration goes the 1200 had the evolution motor and was rubber mounted so not much vibration at all. The one feature I really liked was the automatic turn signal cancel. I'm with Jon on the best kept secret int he cruiser market, it's hard to beat the value of the Savage.
